QWAK,Yesterday I went on an ADVENTURE!:yes:

Went several kool places but one was full of local MYTH and LEGOND -- the Y2K compound:23_30_104::23_28_100s: the "Y2K guy built" and all you survivalists can only HOPE and WISH to have a set up like this WAS!:23_30_104:

It is WAY out in the BOONIES even more remote than ME and THAT is saying somthing!!:yes:

Not shure of the acherage but I think about 20 or 40 but it has EVERY THING:yes::yes::yes: you can imagin from solar pannels and huge battery storage and an inverter power distribution package that must have cost many thousands.

It had 6 1000 LB propain tanks and two big dezle tanks plus generarors that run off each.

A huge pond filled with stocked cat fish each more than a meal for two or more people at this time. Live stock aerias like I said you name IT it is or WAS there!

Most out here at best have barbed wire fencing -- this is fenced in on the road (on two sides as is is at an intercetion of two country dirt roads) with 8' planks with 3 large planked GATES to get in and out of from the compound.

It was build by the Doctor who invented "Remote Heart monitors" and as Y2K was aproching he believed that many may DIE because of the computer problem so HE built this compound,came here and suposedly even chaned his name so no one could find and SUE HIM!:thinkey::yes:

When things did NOT go WACKO he sold the place :confused_ma::banghead:and went back to making $$$! :banghead::banghead::banghead: :confused_ma: :confused_ma:

A Portuguise man ownes it now and it is sort of run down and parts have been sold and not kept up but it is STILL WAY out ahead of what most except perhaps out Andy could imagin having put together!

All I can say is WOW -- to the guy who built it -- it was JUST a place to HIDE OUT but to a GIMER -- it would be NERVANA!!

QWAK,MNeagle,No I did not get any pictures as I was doing an ADVENTURE and "BEING in the MOMENT" as it were :wink: It was just one stop out of several but I may be going back as he mentioned having a party in a fiew weaks.

I also went to a place ware they sell all sorts of SALVAGE stuff and any survivalist would go HAPPY with JOY at what they got THERE!:yes::yes::yes:

Mostly cheep CHINA stuff but at about 25 cents on the doller or LESS! They had pallets and pallets of stuff from HOME DEPO and lots of other businesses that have shut down, I spent about $125.00 and am going back for MORE!:yes:

It is 3 compounds realy, I only went to one the other two are for FOOD and the other for home furnishings!! Each one is HUGE and you name it and it is likely there!:yes::23_30_104: Mostly cheep CHINA stuff but not all and even some GOVERNMENT surplus but not much of that.
